Eaves Table
A real one of a kind commission. Made from a pitch pine rafter removed from renovation in one of Manchester’s mills turned apartments.
Unusually, the grain runs across the width of the table. The end grain is highlighted with an ‘eaves’ detail on the apron, referencing the original use of the timber and finding rhythm with the table top.
The legs are made in stout L sections, echoing the original dimensional timber used in the roof construction. They are bolted on with removable fixings to allow transportation in narrow hallways.
A beautiful piece of history, reimagined for several more lifetimes.
