Gibran Seat
A reimagined telephone table drawing aesthetic influence from the square geometry of Arabic Kufic script. The cabinet door bears a quote in Arabic from ‘On Houses’, a poem in Khalil Gibran’s seminal work The Prophet. A meditation on the things we choose to fill our homes with.
“Have you beauty, that leads the heart from things fashioned of wood and stone to the holy mountain?"
Materials: English Oak, English Burr Elm, Somerset Willow & Herdwick Wool
This piece was a collaboration with Cable & Blake of Kendal, who generously provided the Herdwick Wool fabric.
